How can we get rid of unwanted hair permanently? Are Lasers a safe option for removal of unwanted hair?

 

L-UHR (Laser- Unwanted Hair Removal) treatment uses a beam of light (laser) that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair.  The Laser damages the hair follicles that produce hair and it delays or restricts further hair growth. It painlessly removes unwanted hair for a certain period of time and it is suitable for thick, dark and black hair only and it doesn’t work on Fine/Grey/Blond/ White/Facial Hair. The success of the laser treatment depends upon the hair colour and the skin type. There are generally no long term risks associated with this procedure however in some cases the clients experience minor side effects after the treatment.


 

Laser treatment reduces the hair problem to certain extent. It effectively delays hair growth for long periods. One may need several sessions for initial hair removal, as the chance of hair growth is always there, one might need maintenance treatments to lengthen the duration of hair loss. After few sessions one will notice that hair growth has being severely reduced. The reduction in the hair growth is long-lasting however top up sessions might be needed. Results may vary from person to person, and it effectively reduces around 40-75% of hair. L-UHR is situated for all skin types, including Asian skin types and requires a recommended minimum of 6 sessions. This treatment can be done on both men and women.

Prior to the treatment the areas to be treated are neatly shaved and no anesthesia is given before the treatment but on insistence anesthetic cream can be applied to avoid any discomfort. It is generally done in areas like cheeks, chest, nose chin, legs, forehead, upper lip, jaw line, between eyebrows, armpits, etc. Laserhair removal treatment is not given to pregnant women and it’s not done on eyelid and its surrounding area. It is very important to keep the treated area clean after the procedure, to avoid getting infection of any kind. Depending upon the treated area, patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the treatment.
